Description

The Duke's Pareo Short Sleeve Button Down in Blue from Gitman Vintage is made from a lightweight 100% Cotton US milled Poplin cloth in an exclusive reproduction of the shirt donned and popularized by Duke Kahanamoku. Designed in collaboration with Kahala, the Hawaiian original shirtmaker, this fabric was recreated from the 1960 original as a woven print and flipped on the reverse for a textured and weathered aesthetic that will continue to evolve with repeated wears and washes as an archival warm weather style icon. Our modern short length button down collar comes replete with Gitman's original details like chalk buttons, locker loop, and a final horizontal button hole in green thread. This short sleeve comes in the new modern slim fit with a slightly less dramatic hem sweep and straighter body, as a variation to the signature fit that remains the same tailored "just right" cut for most body types. Gitman Vintage shirts are classic, simple, and original, and have a casual sophistication that makes them a standard wardrobe piece for many well-dressed men.
